Toronto Accordion Player: 50 Years on the City's Biggest Stages
Live accordion for weddings, Italian celebrations, cocktail hours, and corporate events across Toronto and the GTA. Booked directly with Frank, with no agency in between.
Who you're hiring
Frank Baggetta has played the accordion professionally for over 50 years. He holds a Bachelor of Music (MUS.BAC), an Associate diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Toronto (A.R.C.T.), and a Bachelor of Education (B.ED.), and he placed second at the World Accordion Competition in Ancona, Italy.
He's performed at the Molson Amphitheatre, the Rogers Centre, Canada's Wonderland, and the Royal Ontario Museum, and he's the owner and musical director of Fb Entertainment Group. For sixteen years, he served as musical director of the Johnny Lombardi Canadian Italian Song Festival, working directly with the Lombardi family and CHIN Radio/TV International. When you book him, you're hiring the musician who shows up and plays, not a roster slot filled by whoever an agency has free that night.
The accordion, and what it does for a room
Strolling and ceremony accordion
A single accordion changes the temperature of a room faster than almost any other instrument. For a wedding ceremony, a cocktail hour, or guests arriving at a gala, Frank plays live and moves through the room rather than staying behind a setup.
Italian music and the serenade
Frank's Italian repertoire runs to 325 catalogued songs, from Neapolitan classics like “Torna a Surriento” and “Funiculì Funiculà” to modern Italian pop from Bocelli, Pausini, Ramazzotti, and Cutugno. His full working library exceeds 3,000 songs.
Events Frank plays
- Weddings: ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Italian weddings a specialty.
- Corporate events: galas, award nights, and receptions where live music sets the tone.
- Private parties and cultural celebrations: anniversaries, festivals, milestone events.
- Cocktail piano and jazz ensembles: when the event calls for more than accordion, through Fb Entertainment Group.
